Made in Whakaraupō/Lyttelton Harbour, Future Idyll prioritises sustainability through the use of quality deadstock fabrics and recycled materials gathered from across the South Island.
Techniques such as hand-dyeing, quilting and meticulous panelling emphasise the authentic beauty of these textiles, or seek to obscure the banality of their origin. Deeply feminine pieces embodying familiar domestic textiles and subtle historical references evoke both a sense of nostalgia and elusive tense.
